Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has been released from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), his son confirmed today.

El-Rufai had been in ICPC custody since mid-February over alleged financial misconduct linked to his tenure as governor. Sources indicate that his release is temporary, allowing him to attend to personal matters, including the funeral of his late mother in Cairo, Egypt.
