The formal transition at the Federal Ministry of Finance took place in Abuja following the recent cabinet reshuffle approved by the Federal Government.

Wale Edun officially handed over duties to Taiwo Oyedele after his exit from the role as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.

The brief ceremony marked the beginning of a new phase in the management of the nation’s fiscal and economic policies, with emphasis on continuity of ongoing reforms and stability in economic governance.

Oyedele, who previously chaired the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, is expected to consolidate existing reforms aimed at improving revenue generation, strengthening tax administration, and supporting economic growth.

Senior officials of the ministry were present at the handover, underscoring the importance of smooth transition and institutional continuity in the nation’s economic management.
