
Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has launched the distribution of N1.2 billion cash support and food items to vulnerable households across the 19 northern states.
The event, held at the Government House Banquet Hall, featured the distribution of 100 trucks of rice and other palliative materials aimed at easing the economic burden on struggling families in the region.
The initiative was organised by the First Lady in collaboration with the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari.
Among dignitaries present at the event were Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; the Governor of Jigawa State; and the wives of the governors of Kaduna and Jigawa states, including Hafsat Uba Sani.
The intervention is part of ongoing efforts by the presidency to provide relief and support to vulnerable Nigerians amid current economic challenges.
