The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by former Minister, Tanimu Turaki, affirming that the party’s Ibadan convention was conducted unlawfully.

In its ruling, the apex court upheld earlier decisions nullifying the convention, bringing an end to the prolonged legal dispute within the opposition party over the legitimacy of the gathering and decisions reached at the event.

The judgment is expected to have significant implications for the internal leadership structure and ongoing reconciliation efforts within the PDP ahead of future political activities.
