President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to attend the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election holding today in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The exercise is taking place at Ireti Primary School, Mekuwen Road, off Oyinkan Abayomi Street (Waterside), Ikoyi, Lagos State, where party delegates and stakeholders have gathered to participate in the exercise.

The primary forms part of the APC’s ongoing preparations and timetable ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the party moves to select its presidential flag bearer.

Security has been tightened around the venue to ensure a smooth and orderly process as voting commences.

The outcome of the primary is expected to play a key role in shaping the party’s direction ahead of the next general election cycle.
