Twelve serving members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have failed to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) return tickets for the 2027 general elections, following the conclusion of the party’s primaries.
The APC released its final list of candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the polls, confirming significant changes within the state legislature, including the loss of tickets by three principal officers.
Those affected include the Majority Leader, Hon. Noheem Adams (Eti-Osa I), Chief Whip, Hon. Fatai Mojeed, and Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Setonji David.
Other lawmakers who did not secure the party’s ticket are:
- Desmond Elliot (Surulere Constituency I)
- Gbolahan Ogunleye (Ikorodu Constituency I)
- Lanre Afini (Lagos Island I)
- Stephen Ogundipe (Oshodi/Isolo I)
- Obafemi Saheed (Kosofe II)
- Bonu Solomon (Badagry II)
- Emmanuel Oloto (Ifako-Ijaiye II)
- Jubreel Abdulkareem (Agege II)
- Apata Samuel (Somolu Constituency II)
The development is part of wider outcomes from the APC primaries in Lagos, which saw a reshaping of the party’s legislative lineup ahead of the 2027 elections.
Party officials confirmed that the final list was signed by the Lagos State APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi.
