The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and in the diaspora on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, describing the celebration as a period of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, obedience, humility and submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said Eid-el-Kabir commemorates the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who demonstrated unwavering obedience to God through his willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, noting that the lesson of the occasion remains rooted in selflessness, faith, love and trust in God.
The party called on Nigerians to reflect the spiritual values of the festival by showing love and compassion to one another, extending generosity to the poor and vulnerable, and promoting peaceful coexistence across all communities in the country.
The APC further urged citizens to continue praying for peace and national progress, while supporting ongoing reforms under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at strengthening socio-economic structures, promoting unity, and advancing sustainable development.
It emphasized that the current period in the nation’s political and economic journey requires collective understanding, patience and commitment to national stability.
The party wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
