FG Ramps Up Economic Coordination as $1 Trillion Economy Plan Advances

The Federal Government has stepped up efforts to strengthen coordination across its key economic management institutions as part of renewed moves to drive fiscal reforms and improve national economic performance.

A high-level engagement brought together the Honourable Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele; the Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu; the Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr Doris Anite; the Director-General of the Budget Office, Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi; and the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Dr Deborah Odoh.

The discussions focused on revenue performance, fiscal reforms, budget implementation, power sector challenges, and alignment with the National Development Plan.

Officials emphasized the need for stronger inter-ministerial synergy and sustained implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at positioning Nigeria toward a $1 trillion economy.
