A total of 26 candidates from eight political parties are set to contest legislative bye-elections scheduled for Saturday across five constituencies in Nigeria.

The elections, organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), will fill vacant seats in the National and State Assemblies following deaths, resignations, and appointments of former lawmakers to new positions.
