A senior figure within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has affirmed that former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, remains the party’s Vice Presidential candidate.

The clarification was made by party chieftain Abdullahi, who dismissed speculations suggesting any change in the party’s presidential ticket arrangement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the party’s leadership has not altered its earlier position, and Amaechi continues to hold his place as the running mate within the ADC structure.

He stressed that the party remains united and focused on consolidating its preparations for the forthcoming elections, urging members and supporters to disregard rumours of internal disagreement.

The statement comes amid growing political realignments and heightened discussions among opposition parties as they position themselves for the 2027 electoral cycle.
