The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, on Saturday officially declared his intention to seek a fifth term in the House of Representatives, drawing a massive crowd of supporters and political stakeholders to the event in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The grand declaration ceremony attracted party loyalists, traditional leaders, youth groups, women associations, and supporters from across the Zaria Federal Constituency, who gathered to endorse the Speaker’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the event, Speaker Tajudeen highlighted several projects and democratic dividends attracted to the constituency since he first joined the National Assembly in 2011. He said his years in office had brought significant improvements in education, infrastructure, healthcare, youth empowerment, and social welfare programmes across the constituency.

The Speaker assured constituents of his continued commitment to quality representation, promising to sustain efforts aimed at improving the living conditions of the people if re-elected for another term.

He also thanked constituents for their continued support and confidence in his leadership, describing their backing as the foundation of his political success over the years.

Supporters at the rally described Tajudeen as an experienced lawmaker whose leadership at the National Assembly has further elevated the profile of the constituency at the national level.
