NDC Presidential and Governorship Forms: N60 Million and N30 Million; Female Aspirants to Pay 50%

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has released its timetable for the conduct of its primary elections ahead of the 2027 general election, announcing high nomination fees for key elective positions.

According to the party, presidential aspirants will pay ₦60 million, while governorship aspirants are required to pay ₦30 million to obtain their nomination and expression of interest forms.

The announcement was made by the NDC National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, in a statement on Tuesday. He confirmed that the sale of forms will run from May 13 to May 18.

The party further directed all aspirants to appear for the screening exercise with valid credentials and supporting documents as part of the pre-primary process.

In a gender inclusion policy, the party stated that female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWDs) will pay 50% and 25% respectively across all categories of nomination fees.

The presidential primary election is scheduled to hold in Abuja on May 29.
