Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully rescued 360 abducted civilians from a Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) stronghold in the Mandara Mountains, in what is being described as one of the largest rescue operations in the North-East in recent years.
The intelligence-led operation targeted terrorist hideouts in the Amuda area, leading to the safe recovery of women, children, and other captives held by the insurgents. The mission also disrupted the group’s activities and weakened its operational network.
Military authorities said the rescued victims have been evacuated for medical attention and rehabilitation, while troops continue offensive operations aimed at dismantling remaining terrorist enclaves across the region.
The operation highlights the sustained efforts of Nigerian troops to rescue civilians, degrade terrorist capabilities, and restore security in the North-East. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
