Security operatives have dismantled a suspected kidnapping syndicate’s hideout during a coordinated operation along the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)–Nasarawa border, recovering firearms, ammunition, and livestock believed to have been stolen from victims.

The operation, carried out by the Nigeria Police Force following actionable intelligence, targeted a forest camp allegedly used by the criminal group to plan and execute kidnappings in communities around the FCT and neighboring Nasarawa State.

According to the police, the suspects fled into the surrounding forest after spotting the advancing security team. A search of the camp led to the recovery of weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, and several livestock suspected to have been rustled during previous attacks.

Authorities described the raid as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks operating along the FCT–Nasarawa corridor, an area that has witnessed repeated incidents of abduction and violent crime in recent months.

Police said operations are continuing to track down the fleeing suspects and dismantle the remaining members of the syndicate. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and provide credible information to security agencies to aid ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities in the region.
