TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF INFORMATION, MOHAMMED IDRIS ON 60TH BIRTHDAY

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as an outstanding communicator and media professional who has contributed significantly to public information management in the current administration.

In a statement issued on May 1, 2026, the President praised Idris for bringing “finesse, credibility, and gravitas” to government communication, noting his consistent role in effectively projecting the policies and achievements of the administration.

President Tinubu also acknowledged the Minister’s background in the media industry as founder and publisher of Blueprint Newspapers, as well as his leadership experience in public relations and broadcasting.

He further highlighted Idris’ service as former General Secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN), describing him as a patriot committed to nation-building.

According to the President, the Minister has remained diligent and committed in communicating the Renewed Hope agenda across the country, urging him to sustain his efforts.

President Tinubu wished him good health and continued strength as he marks the milestone age of 60 and continues in national service.
