Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has reportedly been replaced as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) following an extraordinary meeting of about 20 progressive governors in Abuja.

The development came shortly after the submission of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms ahead of the 2027 election.

Governors said to have attended the meeting include those of Ogun, Bayelsa, Enugu and 17 others.

Details of the meeting and the decision leading to the leadership change were still emerging as of press time.
