On Sunday, the United States halted visa issuance at its embassy in Colombia as part of a series of strict measures following Bogota’s refusal to allow military deportation flights, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced.

“These measures will persist until Colombia fulfills its obligations to accept the return of its own citizens,” Rubio stated.
