President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France, on Wednesday for a short working visit, the Presidency has announced.

In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, it was revealed that the visit will serve as an opportunity for Tinubu to evaluate his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones achieved so far. Additionally, the President will use the retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

Onanuga emphasized that this period of reflection will help shape strategies to deepen current reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year. He highlighted recent economic achievements as a testament to the administration’s fiscal policies, noting that Nigeria’s net foreign exchange reserves have risen significantly to $23.11 billion, compared to $3.99 billion in 2023.

Despite his temporary absence, Tinubu will remain fully engaged with his team and continue to oversee governance activities. According to the statement, he is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
