Easter: APC Chieftain, Uba Michael Calls For Inclusivity In Federal Appointments

APC and Niger Delta chieftain, Uba Michael has called for inclusivity in federal government appointments to engender the feeling of belonging among those from the oil-producing region of the country..

He said this in commemoration of the Easter celebration. He also said that while the federal government has done well so far, there is room to do more.

The statement released on Sunday reads in part, “The Niger Delta needs to enjoy the benefit that comes with producing all the oil & gas in the country.

“The federal government has done well, but there is room to do more by way of inclusivity in federal government appointments. Those who produce the oil and gas should reap the benefits of producing same.”

He also encouraged entrepreneurs in the manufacturing sector saying, “Power is a major problem in the country and entrepreneurs, especially those investing in the manufacturing process should be encouraged.

”Manufacturing is the powerhouse of the economy and entrepreneurs need to be given the necessary incentives to strive in the sector

He called for new beginnings, resilience and a reminder of the power of light over darkness.
