Nigeria’s crude oil production has risen to 1.745 million barrels per day, according to official figures released by the Federal Government. This marks a significant milestone under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which has made energy sector revitalisation a top priority.

The Tinubu-led government has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving a daily crude oil production target of 2 million barrels by 2025. This ambition is central to the President’s broader economic recovery strategy and aligns with efforts to stabilise foreign exchange, attract investment, and boost national revenue.

This progress follows ongoing reforms in the oil and gas industry, including enhanced security around critical infrastructure, improved governance frameworks, and a stronger partnership with international and local stakeholders.
