Oliseh Urges Osimhen to Make Premier League Move or Risk Regret

Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has urged Victor Osimhen to seize the opportunity and secure a move to the English Premier League, warning that any delay could lead to lasting regret, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 1996 Olympic gold medallist shared his thoughts on social media on Wednesday, weighing in on the uncertainty surrounding the Napoli striker’s next destination.

“Victor Osimhen is at a very delicate crossroad,” Oliseh posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

“He needs to find his way to the Premier League in a hurry or he risks so much regret! Man. United and Arsenal need this player if only…”

Oliseh’s remarks come as hopes of a Premier League switch for the Nigerian forward appear to be fading, despite his impressive goal record and Napoli’s reported decision to lower their asking price to €75 million.

Manchester United, once considered frontrunners, are now focused on Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, while Arsenal have shifted priorities and cooled their interest. Meanwhile, Turkish champions Galatasaray have emerged as serious contenders, with reports from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio indicating that the club has submitted a formal offer and agreed personal terms with Osimhen.

Negotiations continue between Galatasaray and Napoli, with the Serie A club insisting on a full one-time payment of the €75m release clause.

Saudi side Al Hilal are also reportedly monitoring the situation and are prepared to meet Napoli’s financial demands. However, Osimhen is believed to prefer remaining in Europe, especially after a successful loan spell in Turkey.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added in a recent YouTube update that Manchester United’s chances of signing Osimhen were slim due to the striker’s high wage expectations and his contentment with life in Istanbul.

At 26, Osimhen is widely seen as entering the peak years of his career, and Oliseh’s warning underscores the belief that a move to the Premier League could be a defining moment—or a missed opportunity—for Nigeria’s star forward.
