Vice President Kashim Shettima has launched a ₦1 billion family business grant in Ukanafun Oruk Anam, describing it as a practical step toward strengthening grassroots prosperity under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He said the initiative reflects the administration’s focus on empowering households through direct economic support.

The programme, initiated by Hon. Unyime Idem, provides seed funding to help families start or expand small enterprises. Shettima stressed that genuine development is achieved when ordinary citizens feel the impact of governance and commended the synergy between the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the state’s ARISE Agenda under Governor Umo Eno.

Hon. Idem announced that 3,000 families benefited from the first phase and assured that more would be included in future rounds. He expressed appreciation to the Vice President for his support, noting that the collaboration demonstrates a unified commitment to strengthening local economies and promoting inclusive growth.
