Four House of Representatives members from Rivers State have switched allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The lawmakers who defected include Abiante Awake-Inombek of Andoni/Opobo Federal Constituency, Boniface Emerengwa of Ikwerre/Emuoha Federal Constituency, Boma Goodhead of Asari-Toru Federal Constituency, and Manuchim Umezuruike of Port Harcourt 1 Federal Constituency.

The move is expected to strengthen the APC’s presence in Rivers State and signal changing political dynamics ahead of upcoming elections.
