Governor Yusuf Approves New Appointments, Promotes Officials in Kano

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved a series of appointments and promotions aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery across key sectors of the state. The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Wednesday.

Among those appointed are Hon. Abdulkadir Balarabe Kankarofi as Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs, Hajia Aisha Tamburawa as Special Adviser on Positive Propaganda, and Engr. Mukhtar Yusuf as Managing Director of the Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA), with Zakari Usman Balan named Deputy Managing Director of WRECA. Other key appointments include Dr. Mukhtar Bello Maisudan as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board, Engr. Abba Kankarofi as Managing Director of the Kano Road and Maintenance Agency (KARMA), and Hon. Musayyib Kawu Ungoggo as Managing Director of the Kano Zoological Garden.

Governor Yusuf charged the newly appointed and promoted officials to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, transparency, and commitment to the people of Kano State. He emphasized that his administration remains focused on strengthening institutions and delivering people-oriented governance in line with the objectives of the Kano First Agenda.
