Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her commitment to supporting Nigerians through empowerment initiatives aimed at promoting self-reliance and economic opportunity.
Speaking on the impact of various intervention programmes, the First Lady said the objective is to give hope to citizens by providing grants that enable them to start and grow small businesses.
According to her, many small-scale ventures, such as akara production and roasted corn sales, require minimal capital to begin and can serve as sustainable sources of income for beneficiaries.
She emphasized that the support provided under the initiatives is in the form of grants rather than loans, thereby relieving beneficiaries of repayment obligations and allowing them to focus on building their businesses.
Oluremi Tinubu noted that the programmes are designed to encourage entrepreneurship, support livelihoods, and improve the economic well-being of vulnerable Nigerians.
The First Lady reiterated her commitment to continuing empowerment efforts, stressing that she remains dedicated to assisting citizens through initiatives that create opportunities and foster economic inclusion.
