Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a courtesy visit to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at his residence in Kano State.

Obasanjo was received by Kwankwaso alongside the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate in Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo.

According to Kwankwaso’s media aide, the visit was marked by warm exchanges between both political figures, though no detailed information was disclosed on the specific issues discussed during the meeting.

The meeting comes amid continued political engagements among prominent Nigerian leaders ahead of future elections, with Obasanjo maintaining active interactions with key political actors across the country.

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and ex-Minister of Defence, served under Obasanjo’s administration between 2003 and 2007, a period during which both men worked closely in government.

The visit is being viewed as part of ongoing consultations and engagements among political leaders on national issues and the evolving political landscape.
