



Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been invested as the Grand Matron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society during a ceremony held at the State House, Abuja.
The honour was conferred on the First Lady during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Nigerian Red Cross Society and its international partners.
Speaking at the event, Senator Tinubu reaffirmed the importance of humanitarian service, compassion, and sustained support for vulnerable communities across Nigeria.
The investiture ceremony featured her formal decoration as Grand Matron of the society, the presentation of a plaque of recognition, and the symbolic presentation of a commemorative First Aid Kit by the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
The event was attended by representatives of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as well as delegates from the British and Norwegian Red Cross.
The investiture underscores the First Lady’s commitment to humanitarian causes and efforts aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of vulnerable Nigerians through advocacy, support, and community-focused initiatives.
