Nigeria Emerges Africa’s Digital Trade Leader, Attracts Highest Tech FDI — Oduwole

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, has described Nigeria as Africa’s leading digital trade powerhouse, saying the country is setting the pace in digital public infrastructure across the continent.

Speaking on the state of Nigeria’s digital economy, Oduwole stated that several African countries are now looking to Nigeria for models in building and scaling digital public systems across key sectors.

She further noted that Nigeria’s technology ecosystem continues to attract some of the highest levels of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) globally within the tech sector, underscoring growing international confidence in the country’s digital market potential.

According to her, these developments reflect Nigeria’s expanding influence in shaping Africa’s digital trade architecture and innovation landscape.
