Oshiomhole: Tinubu Will Win 2027, Faults Obi’s Anambra Record

Former Edo State Governor and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election “hands down,” insisting that opposition candidate Peter Obi would not perform better than in previous elections.

Oshiomhole made the remarks while reacting to comparisons between Tinubu and Obi’s political records, arguing that Obi’s time as governor of Anambra State did not demonstrate strong control over security challenges.

He specifically referenced the activities of the Bakassi Boys during Obi’s administration, claiming the situation showed governance weaknesses at the time.

“When I was Governor, my state was safer than Anambra under Obi. If Obi couldn’t fix Anambra State, he couldn’t control the Bakassi Boys, who got out of control,” he said.

The former APC national chairman added that the ruling party remains dominant and expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure re-election in 2027.

“Tinubu will win in 2027 hands down, and this boy will not get the votes he got before,” Oshiomhole stated.

The comments are part of ongoing early political positioning and debate ahead of the 2027 general elections, as major political figures continue to exchange criticisms over governance records and electability.
