Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed for Cotonou, Republic of Benin, where he will attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Romuald Wadagni at the Presidential Palace.

The Vice President is representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a special guest at the event, which brings together regional and international leaders to witness the swearing-in of the new Beninese president.

The inauguration ceremony is expected to mark the formal assumption of office by Romuald Wadagni as President of the Republic of Benin.
