Vice President Kashim Shettima on Monday arrived in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a one-day working visit to the state.

The Vice President was received at the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport by Governor Biodun Oyebanji and other top government officials.

During the visit, Shettima is scheduled to perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ekiti Knowledge Zone (EKZ), a project aimed at promoting innovation, technology and economic development in the state.

He will also commission the newly constructed Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) located along Old Iyin Road in Ado-Ekiti.

In addition, the Vice President is expected to inaugurate the 1.2-kilometre Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover at Okeyinmi, one of the flagship infrastructure projects of the Oyebanji administration.

The visit marks Shettima’s second official trip to Ekiti State since assuming office. His first visit was in May 2024, when he inaugurated the Omisanjana–Deeper Life–Ajebandele Road and the MSME Clinic in Ado-Ekiti.
