Security presence was significantly reinforced in and around the Rainbow Event Center in Abuja as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) commenced its national convention.
The heightened security measures were put in place to ensure a smooth and orderly exercise, as thousands of party members and stakeholders converged on the venue for the high-profile event.
No fewer than 7,000 delegates from across the country are expected to participate in the convention, where they will elect members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
The newly elected NWC is expected to steer the affairs of the party over the next four years, making the convention a critical milestone in the party’s leadership and organizational development.
