President Bola Tinubu on Thursday in Abuja reaffirmed his commitment to building a stable, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria, assuring that the well-being of citizens remains his top priority.

He said the political and economic structures that have long hindered national prosperity are being gradually dismantled through ongoing economic realignment aimed at ensuring broader participation and inclusiveness.

The President made the remarks while receiving a delegation of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State at the State House.

He pledged to sustain reforms designed to create more opportunities for poor and vulnerable Nigerians, stressing that national development must be driven by collective participation.

The meeting was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, alongside several governors, including Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Mohammed Inuwa (Gombe), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), and Uba Sani (Kaduna), who also serves as deputy director-general of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

Former governors present included Aminu Bello Masari (Katsina), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), and Tanko Al-Makura (Nasarawa), as well as former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru, zonal coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, directors, and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari.

President Tinubu urged the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to intensify sensitisation and mobilisation efforts at the grassroots level, particularly in communicating government reforms aimed at improving livelihoods.

He described them as “the conscience of a nation that wants to break the shackles of poverty and hopelessness,” and called for sustained public engagement.

The President also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to democratic principles, including the rule of law, separation of powers, and protection of citizens’ rights.

He emphasised that national unity and a shared vision remain essential for achieving prosperity, urging Nigerians not to be discouraged by misinformation from opposition voices.

According to him, Nigeria is on a path of transformation driven by visionary leadership and long-term reforms.

Addressing critics, President Tinubu said he remained committed to his mission of national development, insisting that governance is a continuous process of reform and correction.

He also reiterated his pledge to remain dedicated to the country’s progress, assuring that his administration will not abandon its responsibilities.

Earlier, the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, said the group was at the State House to brief the President on progress made in implementing its mandate.

He said structures have been established across all levels, including local government and ward levels, with ongoing mobilisation and data collection efforts reaching polling units, markets, schools, and professional groups.

Uzodimma commended the President’s leadership and reaffirmed the group’s loyalty and commitment to the success of the initiative.

Similarly, former Governor of Katsina State and North-West Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Aminu Bello Masari, praised the President’s reform agenda, describing him as a courageous leader implementing difficult but necessary policies.

He said stakeholders in the North-West remain strongly behind the administration and will continue to support efforts aimed at national development.

The National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, also commended the administration’s infrastructural strides, attributing them to ongoing reform programmes.

Other speakers at the meeting, including former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, and Governors Uba Sani and Biodun Oyebanji, expressed support for the administration’s initiatives.
