Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has stated that the President will complete an eight-year tenure in office, similar to his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
Onanuga made the remark while addressing ongoing political discussions about the 2027 general elections and the future of the current administration. He expressed confidence that President Tinubu would serve two full terms in line with constitutional provisions.
According to him, the administration remains focused on delivering its Renewed Hope agenda, with efforts aimed at stabilising the economy, improving security, and driving national development across key sectors.
He noted that just as former President Muhammadu Buhari completed two terms in office, President Tinubu is also on course to do the same, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The statement comes amid increasing political activities and alignments ahead of the next election cycle, with stakeholders expressing varying views on the country’s political direction.
The Presidency has continued to emphasise its commitment to governance and policy implementation, while supporters maintain optimism about the administration’s long-term plans.
