Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerian children to embrace discipline, learning and responsible living as the nation commemorates the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.

In a message released on Wednesday to mark the occasion, Senator Oluremi Tinubu congratulated children across the country and reaffirmed the importance of creating an inclusive society where every Nigerian child is given equal opportunity to thrive.

Speaking on the theme of this year’s celebration, “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” the First Lady said the future Nigerians desire for children must begin with deliberate actions taken today.

She stressed that children are not only the leaders of tomorrow but active contributors to the nation’s present and future development.

The First Lady urged children to remain focused, make wise decisions and use their time productively, noting that a brighter future can only be achieved through discipline, good character, commitment to learning and personal growth.

She also warned against destructive behaviours and unrealistic pursuits, encouraging children to build values that would positively shape their future and the nation at large.
