President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on attaining the milestone of becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.

In a statement issued on Monday, President Tinubu described the achievement as a reflection of the enduring confidence and trust the people of India have placed in Modi’s leadership across three consecutive mandates.

He commended the Indian leader for his dedication to public service, national development, and his influential role on the global stage, noting that his leadership continues to inspire millions worldwide.

President Tinubu also described Prime Minister Modi as a personal friend and trusted ally, emphasizing the strong diplomatic relationship and mutual respect between both leaders over the years.

Recalling Modi’s recognition as a recipient of Nigeria’s national honour, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), the President said it underscores his contribution to strengthening Nigeria–India relations.

He wished Prime Minister Modi continued good health, wisdom, and success in his service to India and the global community.
