The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has recorded a sweeping victory in the Adamawa State local government elections, winning all 21 Local Government Areas and 226 wards in the poll conducted across the state. The result has further strengthened the party’s dominance at the grassroots level in Adamawa State.

According to the commission, PDP candidates emerged victorious in all chairmanship and councillorship positions contested in the election, leaving no seat for opposition parties in the exercise.
The election, which was conducted across all local government areas of the state, saw the PDP maintain a strong political presence throughout the voting and collation process. Party candidates were returned elected across the entire structure of local governance, from wards to council chairmanship positions.
The outcome of the poll reflects a clean sweep for the PDP in the state’s grassroots elections, as opposition parties were unable to secure any LGA or ward seat in the final declaration.
